Dr Jonathan Bannard-Smith

Jonathan graduated in medicine from the University of Manchester in 2004. He completed postgraduate training and exams in anaesthesia and critical care at hospitals across the North West of England. Following completion of training he undertook a clinical research fellowship in Melbourne, Australia. Jonathan is now a consultant at Manchester Royal Infirmary. He leads his department’s research programme in adult critical care and sits on Greater Manchester’s NIHR local clinical research network. He is also clinical lead for organ donation in adults at Manchester Royal.
His specific areas of interest include rapid response systems, risk prediction models in acute care and anaesthesia for patients undergoing kidney transplant and vascular surgery.
